A win for network and information security: InkBridge Networks awaded for fast, safe, reliable network access.
The efforts of InkBridge Networks were recently highlighted at the 2024 Merit Awards, where the team was awarded a gold in the Information Security category and a bronze in the Internet Infrastructure category.
[Ottawa]: The network and security expertise of InkBridge Networks has been recognized with two 2024 Merit Awards for Technology. The Ottawa-based network security company won gold in the Information Security category and bronze in the Internet Infrastructure category. Other 2024 Merit Award winners included March Networks, Toshiba, and Cisco.
The Merit Awards acknowledge companies that have made significant contributions to the continued growth of the global technology sector. These awards highlight the best in current and next-generation innovations and technologies, including network and security.
“These visionary innovators and companies have not only showcased exceptional skill in leveraging technology but have also set new standards of excellence,” said Marie Zander, Executive Director of Merit Awards.
Among InkBridge’s notable achievements in 2024 was the company’s widely shared response to BlastRADIUS, a RADIUS protocol vulnerability that left countless pieces of networking equipment exposed to a potential man-in-the-middle (MitM) cyber-attack.
InkBridge Network’s call for urgent attention to the BlastRADIUS vulnerability and subsequent blueprint to fix the critical network flaw, saved countless ISPs and telcos from potential cyber-attacks.
“While the BlastRADIUS vulnerability had the potential to create chaos and disruption for Internet service providers and cloud service providers around the world, our team worked quickly and efficiently to provide a solution for these organizations to secure network access,” said InkBridge CEO, Alan DeKok.
The RADIUS experts at InkBridge Networks also developed blueprint engineering guidelines for vendors looking to update their own RADIUS servers.
“While the BlastRADIUS vulnerability has since been identified and mitigated, we continue to work closely with our clients and colleagues behind-the-scenes. These awards only continue to motivate us to do our best work in providing network security solutions,” said Alan.
