InkBridge Networks - A new name for Network RADIUS

FREERADIUS 4.0 BETA PROGRAM

We design custom RADIUS systems for everyone on the planet.

VIEW PRODUCTS

Eight years in development.

FreeRADIUS 4.0 brings:

  • Fundamental improvements to TLS certificate handling
  • A powerful new policy engine supporting multiple protocols
  • Fully asynchronous multi-threaded architecture
  • Performance gains that matter at scale
We're opening a limited beta programme to organisations running

production RADIUS deployments.

Help us test V4 in real-world environments, identify edge cases, and

ensure a stable release for the entire community.

Who This is For

This program is for organisations running production RADIUS deployments.

ISPs/Telcos

Managing subscriber authentication at scale, able to test in staging environments that mirror production loads.

Universities

Supporting campuswide access who can test with representative user loads and authentication scenarios.

Enterprises

Complex network security requirements and the infrastructure to run parallel testing alongside production systems.

Cloud Providers

Staging environments where authentication can be tested under realistic conditions.

Who We Need From You

Beta testing is a two-way commitment. We provide early access and direct support. You provide:

Testing in environments that mirror real-world use - Trusted by global brands to provide AAA for their critical networks.

Learn More

Realistic timelines - we need feedback within the beta window to address issues before general release.

Learn More

Detailed bug reports when things don't work as expected - logs, configuration details, reproduction steps, and environment context.

Learn More

Migration feedback on documentation gaps, unclear upgrade paths, or configuration challenges that would trip up other organizations.

Our newsletter serves up best practices, how-to guides, and answers to common questions we encounter in the networking community.

We'll review applications and follow up with next steps. Priority goes to organisations that can provide thorough testing across diverse deployment scenarios.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. This is a genuine beta testing programme where your feedback directly influences bug fixes and final release quality. We're looking for organisations that can commit engineering time to proper testing and reporting.

Beta testing requires real engineering effort - deploying builds, testing functionality, documenting issues, and providing detailed reports. If you can't allocate time for this, standard release documentation will be available at general launch.

We'll prioritise bugs based on severity, impact, and reproducibility. Critical issues affecting security, stability, or core functionality will be addressed before general release. We can't guarantee every edge case will be fixed in V4.0, but all feedback helps shape the roadmap.

No. This programme is open to qualified organisations who can provide valuable testing. FreeRADIUS is open source. InkBridge Networks provides commercial support for organizations that need it.

Beta timeline details will be shared with accepted participants. We're targeting 8-12 weeks for the beta period before general release.

Beta software should be tested in staging or controlled environments, not mission-critical production systems. We recommend parallel testing alongside your production V3 deployment until V4 is officially released.

Report it immediately through the private communication channel provided to beta participants. Security issues are handled with priority and discretion.
